Outside of their career, free time is spent researching and sharing resources through the remote resource directory they founded,
With a deep passion for equity, justice, and accessibility Lafi seeks to apply this in all of their work.
Speaking up through their art and education, they hope to create a tangible lasting impact.
Lafi Melo is a writer, artist, educator whose work focuses on disability justice and art as a form of protest. Born and raised in NJ, Lafi studied Women & Gender studies, Performing Arts, & Non Profit Admin at Rutgers University-NJIT.
Currently residing in the Bronx they have been able to connect to the same beloved borough their Grandfather first lived in when immigrating from
Mukhmas, Palestine.
